About the song:

The original song was written by Bob Dylan and released on his Nashville Skyline album in 1969.

The song was written for the soundtrack of the movie Midnight Cowboy, but wasn't submitted in time to make the final cut.

Dozens of other cover versions of the song have been recorded by numerous performers, including:
